Yes, and lots and lots of nicotine! Like you said, I was at one point, enjoying dip, cigs, snuff, cigars, and the pipe all in one day.One day at a time Kevin. Just put all your effort into tasks you can tackle at the moment.
When I am in my wheel chair within 10 minutes or so I have to a collar around my neck as the pain gets bad I cannot hold my head up.
I cannot do physical therapy anymore as the only it could be done is if I had stupid amounts of opiates and I am not going there. The last time I was on them was July 2016 when I took my oldest girl to Italy. I was not in great shape and had to be wheeled around airports.
Just to get moving I needed a 30mg roxie and a 60 mg oxycontin and walking around still caused a lot of pain. I shouldn't have felt a thing and been able to walk 5 plus hours. I took lots of cabs and still had fun. I hired a private tour guid who was a grreat guide, but after that trip and I got off the meds,,I knew I was toast. They wanted to do an mri but they had to give me general anesthesia because it was torture laying flat on that hard table. After reading my last mri my neurologist told me the stenosis had spread every where in all the discs, back and kneck and sh didn't hold back when she told me there is nothing more she can do for me. She said physical therapy was a waste and even if I took enough pain meds to choke a horse the disease won't stop. I appreciated her being honest and didn't pull any punches.
It's not quite that bad for me, but I sympathize. I have the situation when I'm around family and cannot smoke where my brain somehow "smells" the tobacco in my mind's memory and i miss it, but I'm not anxious--i'm just really aware. I'm sure there's a name for it but I don't know.I generally don’t smoke until the late afternoon, but felt rather lethargic and cranky around lunch time today, had a bowl here 1:30est and feel a tad more settled. Could be the isolation of the current living situation but I think the nicotine, or lack of might be a contributing factor. Any similar experiences?
Thanks for that.I’m sorry to hear that. Hope you are still able to enjoy your pipes and Yes albums! Probably both are even better after the indica...
We never grow out of that do we.?At least once a week I have a Yes festival, crank up the Denon reciever and my huge Cerwin Vega XL15, plus a Klipsch powered sub. I can shake the living room but keep it just below that.
Never, will be a fan till the grave. Best studio band best live band and I have seen my share The only show in their league is The Pulse Tour Pink Floyd, and while his music is not my all time favorite. First show I ever saw was I think 1971 at the Orpheum Theater in Boston where Aerosmith was backing up Mott The Hoople.
What about heroin or opiate addiction? Or alcoholism?
I saw the Ramones at a little club in Boston called the Paradise. I got a tip from a chick who worked for WBCN the number 1 radio show. J.Geils played unannounced at a place called the Rat. It was in Kenmore sq near Fenway Park. It was a great night , people dancing on tables bodies flying every where. My first Yes show was in 1972 at the Music Hall which was a somewhat small venue. Years later also saw the Dead there and the Tubes. Next Yes show was February 1974 when they were promoting Tales, great stage set up best of all others going forward. Saw them again December 1974 in Boston Garden. July 1075 saw them at the Providence Civic Center an hour south of Boston.Next was June 18 in Boston Garden and then the next day June 19 at Colt park near Hartford and it was the only out door show I ever saw them play. As great as they were, seeing them in sunlight was kind of weird.Sounds like you e seen some amazing shows. I’m glad my first concert was The Ramones not New Kids on the Block.
