Craigslist?

Anyone keep their eye on Craigslist? I just picked up a really nice gentleman's entire collection because he became ill and had to give it up. I'm very excited to say the least . . . although I do feel very bad for him that he had to give up this glorious hobby (he is doing better physically though thank God!).

I always have... but never any luck... Here in Ca. you type in tobacco pipe and all you get is weed pipes, pages upon pages of them. :|

I check occasionally. You really have to sift thru the paraphernalia, water pipes, etc. I use the "Tempest" search program. I never hit any gold, but will check if I'm bored (just checked now for my area, a few pipe racks, the rest was drug stuff).

I know! I always check once in a while and just see garbage, but I guess persistence pays off.

When I first began acquiring pipes, I did a Craigslist search. The guy delivered this to me. Total cost: $100

I spent some money getting the electronics working again, but not bad for $100.

Thanks! Some guy had bought a storage unit that was filled with old retail store fixtures and seemed excited that I'd give him a hundred. No idea what Dunhill was. So now and forever onward, I do Craigslist searches for "store fixtures"

I got a nice Peterson pipe for next to nothing off craigslist...I check periodically for deals. Mainly just watch for pipe deals.

I did hooboy. Although I expressed in my post how sad I was that he had to give up the hobby and how well he is doing now! And I was then and am now genuine when I said that. So, I am not quite sure what you are trying to imply? I hope when that day comes for me I am able to pass on my collection to someone who will enjoy it as much as I will and make some money to boot.

I have sold pipes on there before and had great luck. I have more to sell in the future and will probably use them. It is a good way to get someone local.

Typically there is nothing there, but its worth a look once in a while.
Deathmetal, I don't listen to that type of music but I have to confess I have played your song linked above about 12 times and get scared everytime...but just can't seem to stop listening. LOL
