I'm not as seasoned of a taster as most on the site, but after hearing so much about Country Squire's Cowboy Coffee I had to give it a go. I can't say what tobaccos gave what taste, but it had a smooth sweet smokey flavor with a tiny bit of spice, the first bowl was a very nice smoke. However, the best part of the experience was the after-smoke flavor that stayed around through a cup of coffee. I can see a lifetime of good smokes coming from this blend.

I would Love the see Jims take on this blend.

I just tried this as part of a blind tasting challenge. Totally agree with everything you describe. Lately, I've been avoiding some of the smaller blenders because (not sure why) their offerings tend to bite me with some frequency (far less common with the larger blending houses, especially when I choose tinned tobaccos). Cowboy Coffee didn't bite at all--it was delicious, too.

@SunriseBoy very kindly sent me generous samples of Cowboy Coffee, Cherokee and Black Arrow (names evocative of the Wild West) recently.

My mate Doug came over yesterday and both enjoyed bowls of Cheerokee and Cowboy Coffee.
While Cheerokee was a smooth all day blend, we both thought Cowboy Coffee was more interesting and nuanced
No dry time or relights required.

Gonna say. Grain in my cup of mud water doesn't tickle me pink. Saint Espresso was only "coffee" related blends I had. Was ok.

I couldn't agree more, I really love Cowboy Coffee too. I actually just voted for it in the best tobacco of 2024 thread. If you like Oriental/Turkish tobacco give Shepard's Pie a go. It's another one of my faves from The Country Squire.

Cowboy Coffee been my go to for about 6 months now. Just got another pound delivered this morning. My main smoke used to be Pegasus but I bought this on a whim and immediately bought a pound. I've been burning through a pound a month.
