Damn PAD... :puffy:
I couldn't resist this billiard. The pipe is 6.5" long. Huge bowl. And honestly, for a L'Anatra, a great value. Happily surprised that it was one of their least expensive models. Worth every penny and more...

Thanks guys. Price was $150. Most of their pipes start in the $200 range, and the sheer size of this one makes it a great value alone. Has a substantial feel to it without being too heavy - but definitely not for clenchers (fortunately I am not one).
Happy to say it is a superb smoker. This is likely my best purchase to date, very pleased. :puffy:

That is a beautiful pipe.
Does anyone know what type of briar L'Anatra uses? (or Ser Jacopo, for that matter. They seem to be sister companies.)

I especially like the rusticated bowl coupled with a smooth and well-grained top. Very classy. As for shape, it appeals to the traditionalist in me. Worth every cent.

TopD - yeah, not good for clenchers. It's not the weight so much as the bit. It's lucite and has a slight curve to it so it's not easy to keep in your mouth. Fortunately, I am not a clencher, so it works for me. :puffy:
