We bemoan the cost of tobacco but have any of you actually sat down and priced what it would take t I replace it at current market price. Or the import fees it would cost you?

I've seen pictures I f people with 30 gallon totes of hooded pouch tobacco they bought for 4$ in 1999 that now retails at 12$ plus shipping and tax fees.

I smoke whole leaf tobacco. It costs roughy $18 a pound. The price hasn’t gone up that I’ve noticed since I’ve been smoking it, 2,yrs or so. Before that I smoked c&d dark burley for several years. It costs about the same too. So to replace my stash would cost the same as it has for years. Shipping has gone up some, along with a lot of other things, but not so far the tobaccos I like

I pay the asking price of vendors, no moaning. IRC asks a reasonable price. I have my chosen few of blends and can readily afford them. So....no problem. Smoking is a luxury choice not, a necessity. If I couldn't readily afford the luxury vice....I wouldn't smoke Simple as that. No point in moaning, groaning or, ranting about costs. If you can't afford to, don't smoke. Smoking is supposed to be enjoyable, not something that disconcerts the smoker, making them uncomfortable. It's choice for crying out loud!

I've built up my hoard the last few years by doing some seriously hard shopping. By that I mean, I looked for "deals" and only bought if I thought I was getting a bargain for something I liked. Two ways I got those bargains was by buying from a couple of shops that were going out of business and from someone who was giving up pipe smoking. I would estimate that overall the cost of my hoard is about 20 or 25 percent of current reatail. puffy

I really don’t understand your point, at all.
