I'm probably up to two dozen cobs(or more) in my collection and 90% of the time they are what I'm smoking. Frankly, I could give a shit less what someone thinks of the pipe I'm smoking. Not looking to make a fashion statement, just enjoying my smoke...

I think he was talking to me, Sparrow.
The title of this post is "Corn Cobs, Mea Culpa". "Mea Culpa" is Latin for "my fault". I was asking what was your "fault" regarding cobs.
Roth was, I believe, telling you not to worry about my question and to enjoy your cobs.

Oh, I see. I don't think I'll ever be able to expand my pipe collection enough to rotate properly so the cobs are a good idea. Indeed, I think the Nording will be the last major expense I make in pipe collecting (excepting the customs that you know about) for the immediate future. It is rather costly. By the same token, I have to cut down on my variety of tobaccos: CH, Trout Stream, the Dunhill Flakes as treats, as well as the Molto Dolco and maybe the EMP. These will be my standands. Any others will be occasional, based on strong recommendation. So I may end up depending on the cobs a lot.

I freaking love my Bent Great Dane Egg shape. I thought the diplomat was the best looking MM on the site. When I went to pick it up at a local B&M I accidentally bought the Egg shaped Great Dane instead, happiest mistake of my life. I absolutely love it :) it's by far my favorite cob I've ever seen. I'm looking at picking up the Emperor from Aristocob. It's the cob that MacArthur had designed specifically for himself, idk why but the MacArthur on the MM site isn't the same one he smoked.
How long can I expect to get out of my pipe? I've only been smoking it once or twice a week. It's been killing me haha I want to smoke it as much as possible. But it has so much sentimental value (being that it is my first pipe) how often can I smoke it and have it last?

5 MM Pony Express's here, which I smoke daily. So far I've yet to smoke a briar that burns flakes as well, but then again, all my briars cost me >$30, and the diameter of the bowl on the Ponies' is tiny. (Which is good... If I ever commission any pipes, I'll probably ask for the bowl to be .65 or .70 by 1.5 or so.).
Also, if the price of a Forever Stem that's as small as the Ponies' is also $30, then yes, that's pricey. An average sized stem for that price seams fair though.

I did it, in the wee hours last night, went to walkerbriarworks and ordered a vulcanite and lucite permanent

stem for two of my filtered MM cobs. I was price conscious and bought two in black, but with distinctive

shapes. This is a good way to vent my PAD without adding a pipe to the rack. For future PAD, I will go back

to Mr. Walker and buy a permanent stem for my nonfiltered MM in an exuberant tortoise shell or loud color

in lucite, evading another PAD episode on a technicality. Thank you Mr. Walker, and Mr. Roth for reminding

us of the site. Anyone who loves their cobs, and can part with $50 this month, must go to this site and

experience a cob revival. Those poor cheesy MM stems last for a while, but you can feel yourself chewing

through them after a few smokes, and the little bits of plastic are probably going down as a mini-snack.

Many cobs will last for 20 years plus, so here's a way to keep enjoying them. I think they look better with

some wear. I like a little mileage on all my pipes. ($50 would be for two, with shipping. They come as low

as $18, so you could replace one stem for just over $20 with shipping.)
