I predominantly smoke cobs. I love their open draw, dry smoke, and easy maintenance. I also get better flavors from the blends (burleys and Vapers) I like from cobs. To me a cob can't be beat!

I seem to reach for my Cobs more than my Briars and Meers.I just love the draw on filtered cobs without a filter, you can clench for hours and they smoke cool.
Although I used to smoke a Falcon some years ago,and that gave me a similar experience. When I started smoking pipes again, I tore the house apart looking for my Falcon and several bowls and I cannot find it.

I prefer Briar all day but cobs are great and you need to try one if you have not. They're great pipes. And I can't live without one. First off nice to have a pipe that you can take on a hike and not be sad when it gets stolen by a brown bear (cartoons told us it was our picnic baskets they wanted, but it's our pipes). They are often my social pipe. When I hang out and chat with people it distracts my smoking and it's nice to have a pipe that forgives. And yes the dry thing is great. Cobs are great for those too damp to smoke without bite blends. And they seem to accentuate different notes in the tobacco. I find some English blends sing in a cob which is not often mentioned by too many others. Also if you aren't a dedicated lunter and have a good place to sit and smoke get a handful of clays too. They're incredible cool smokers though the bowl can give you a brand if your not careful.

Snook I think I got the last one Country Squire had in stock a couple of weeks ago I really liked it with the stem that came with it, then I stuck the stem from a bent Diplomat Apple that I wore out and now I love it great pipe either way.
