My wife cooks it in the oven, I prefer the stovetop - I like mine just on the edge of too crispy and never "chewy" but it's a crapshoot sometimes. Just planning Thanksgiving meals and shopping and bacon is on the list!

Being a southerner, I’m quite partial to the tried and true method of frying in an open well-seasoned Lodge cast iron skillet over a medium-low flame, preferably accompanied with an iron bacon press. I love my bacon in the ”slightly leathery but not burnt” department, and don’t toss the grease, at least not until after you’ve fried your eggs in it!

Always save the bacon grease and do cook eggs in it.

I bake my bacon with the same method as well sometimes. Though I love frying on cast iron.

Also, as many ways are there to cook bacon, there are also many cuts of bacon. Try the steak cut bacon. Super thick - and if do it right it’s chewy and crispy

Thou shall not burn bacon should have been the 11th commandment.

Although for the Hebrews it would have been turkey bacon...

Don’t forget about beef bacon!

Way better than that turkey nonsense. Idk every time I’ve tried turkey bacon - it just stinks in the packaging

Back before beef ribs went full re re in price, I used to by racks and racks. My son and I would eat the ribs, dogs got the bones.

I would trim the fat off those ribs and smoke it into beef bacon. I love that stuff! Once I hit 50 I had to eat it with bread or take some tums, though. Getting older sucks.

Edit: I won't eat turkey bacon. It's shite. I just said it because of the Kosher laws. lol
