I try to keep them out of the house 'cause I eat 'em and don't need to. :D
If you like Oreos, and can find a Trader Joe's near you, try the Joe-Joes, their version. Real vanilla and chocolate - no imitations - and sugar, not HFCS. At Christmas time they a candy cane version that is excellent - candy cane filling. They also do a version of that cookie that is covered in white chocolate, with candy cane sprinkles. Absolute heaven, but about 300 calories for 1 cookie!
Of course,if you can get some real Scottish shortbread - Walker's is the best commercial shortbread you can get here, AFAIK - you then have a real treat.

I exclusively eat sweet, OTC cookies like Oreos and Chips Ahoy. I know a lot of folks find them too goopy to chew, but if you take your time and do small bites you should be fine. My wife loves the lingering aroma in my beard. I tend to avoid Englishes (shortbreads, etc...) as I find they have too strong a kick, but I'm not against folding a wafer once in awhile. Tried fig newtons once, never again!
Mmmmm. Maple Cream...I'm feeling CAD kicking in!

Everybody loves cookies - my mother used to make what we called Chocolate Haystacks. Oatmeal, peanut butter, and chocolate. Later on, a lady I worked with made the same cookies and call them Cow Patties. These days, my boss makes them and calls them No-Bakes.
I don't care what they're called, just gimme the damn cookies!!

Okay, I admit it - I don't like cookies and never did. Seriously, most/all are just too sweet for me. I can tolerate a few now and then, but that's about it.
I don't mind some sweets, like really good ice cream or genuine Belgian chocolate (only once did I get to try real Belgian chocolate from a popular shop in Belgium and it positively ruined me for all other chocolates).
I'm more of a salty snacks kinda guy anyway: popcorn and pretzels—now we're talkin'.

This site is for "tobacco" smokers right? Because I'm getting an ever so slight stoner munchies vibe with this thread. Whoa, it's a double rainbow!

I simply LOVE cookies. Biscochitos, macaroons, tollhouse. Why do you guys do this to me. I'm going broke on TAD and PAD and now I got a cookie thing. Gotta find some of those maple creams....log me out! I'm going to Windsor!

I know I'm at home when I find a thread on cookies. Cookies are the best medicine for whatever ails you. I prefer a soft cookie of anykind with coffee or milk!
As a kid my logic was this: Santa's diet was mainly cookies and milk. He's really old and a happy guy, so cookies must be a great food.

Hey Puffer,
When you run out don't stress, just drop me a PM and I'll throw some in a box and ship them down to you. They are a year round cookie here in Canada made by a dutch company called Voortmans. I always liked driving by their mfg facility and smelling the baked cookies.

+1 Kevin.
I often have to choose between the horizontal monster mash, or the pipe.
Cookies aren't a blip on my radar. But they are delicious. Cookie dough........../drool

My kids hate my rule of the house. June has made chocolate chip cookies with pecans since we've

been married (40 years), and they are great! She raised our four kids mostly while I was deployed

during my active duty carrier.

Well no cookies leave this house when the kids visit... I let her give them all the recipe to make

their own, but any cookies made in this house stay in this house.

Well, what goes around comes around. When we visit them, they have the fixings for

her to make them ... And I usually don't get any of those......
(But I can usually get my grands to sneak me a couple).
