Interesting thread. I just spent most of the day tearing apart my rec room (the pipe room!!!) to get ready to repaint and install new floors. I recruited the wife to help with the painting tomorrow much to her chagrin. I don't need her to help, I could do the whole job myself, it's just the principal involved. It's our house, and she won't do yard work, so.... :puffy:

I guess that I am fortunate, my wife and I always share the yard/household work equally. In fact, doing mulch, painting, etc. I can't outlast her. We have a fairly large lot and completed/maintain all of the landscaping ourselves. We even laid our flagstone walkways together, one of the most arduous tasks we've ever completed. Remind me to give her a hug and a kiss!

As is my typical Saturday morning, ritual, I'm on the patio with pipe, coffee and laptop/paper. My wife just came down and said "we have to fix that upstairs toilet" today. I just started laughing and told her about this thread. That woman never stops.
In fact, her participation isn't limited to the house. Two winters back, we removed the motor and transmission on our '79 MGB together. I love a woman who's not afraid to get a little greasy...

Being a lifelong bachelor (women used to run from me so fast they left scorch marks on the carpets) I'm not sure if I'm fortunate or not. I'm the caregiver for my mom, but she has no problems with me smoking, although I confine it to my study, where I do most of my work as a writer and sometimes artist. It sounds, though, like you gentlemen have some terrific, tolerant partners.

RE: Kevin's cartoon. Do you suppose this is why there has been an explosion of the fly population where ever I go? Heh.
