As an aside I have smoked St Bruno rr from Spain and ithe seems the same as the UK version to me.

I'm about to divert the thread, feel free to ignore.
@oldreddog:
Do you find the British San Bruno to be different from the export version? I'd swear it is. It just seems more moist and flavorful.

Hugo I found the UK and Spanish St Bruno to be similar. I should say that I have not smoked a lot of either, so I wouldn't be the best judge.If pushed Id say the export was a little fruiter. I have not smoked St Bruno flake so I don't know how it compares to either RR.

Sorry for jumping in, but the St. Bruno I buy in Spain is exactly the same as in the U.K. I've bought tons of the stuff in both countries, it's the same.

Back to the OP stating he'd bet money condor & St. Bruno are the same but with different toppings. I recommend you get a 'check up from the neck up' sir.

I could take your money but I won't. But your statement is akin to blasphemy to me & my beloved St. Bruno. Scandalous think to suggest clilkkick. Tut Tut!

Well the Spanish Condor from a few years ago seemed different from the Duty Free stuff from LHR and I was not the only one who remarked on this at the time. I have not purchased any Spanish Condor from the guys in Switzerland since way back when but I do remember the cut of the tobacco was slightly different as you could roll cigarettes out of the stuff fairly easily. The topping seemed slightly different but then after decades of smoking the stuff I guess memory can play tricks on you. I am not that keen on St Bruno so I really could comment on that point made by Simon.

Condorlover I wonder if it was a "Monday morning " batch and rather than using it as silage Gallaghers stuck a Spanish health warning on it. :lol:

Interesting. I'd swear that the American Saint Bruno doesn't have the same full taste as the British form. Good to know I can now bug people travelling through Spain to purchase some for me, too

Thank you, Oldreddog. It cost me but it was well worth it! I'm worried that it will soon be impossible to get so I thought I would stock up now while I still can.

I don't doubt that you got a hold of some bad batches or what not. I just got all worried that I just acquired a lot of inferior Condor and it gave me nightmares. Once I heard back from JTI it calmed my nerves and I was able to sleep again ; ) but thought I would post it up here so other folks that get their hands on some Spanish marketed Condor won't have to lose any sleep if they wander onto this thread... It's one in the same, just a slightly different pouch with different warning labels. The warning labels are much nicer, in fact, they don't show the nasty photo's you see on the U.K. Condor.
