I don't know Condor or the comparisons, but I've just started a tin of Petersons Irish Flake, and after some consultation with Forums members about keeping it lit, it is an excellent full-strength (but to me not overbearing) blend, so give it a try. It's probably no Condor, but it has a certain something.

A suggestion earlier recommended GH Conniston Cut Plug. Several reviewers at Tobacco Reviews would seem to agree. I like CCP, always have, in fact I posted that I had just finished a bowl in the What are you smoking thread yesterday. I never really “got” Condor, though I tried several times just to see what all the fuss was about.

I generally smoke flakes. Is there a flavor difference between the two? Thanks for the tip. My grandfather smoked Condor in Ireland but this St Bruno sounds intriguing.
Yes, I get more of the top flavor out of the RR. A lot of people that I know were underwhelmed by the flake but head over heals when they tried the RR. It’s definitely not the same but the sauce has some similarities to Condor, at least for me.

War Horse Bar. I loved our advertising slogans. 'War Horse Bar. It tastes like sh*t. Try it!' I was especially fond of the War Horse Ready Cut slogan. 'War Horse. Rub you own. You know it's fun in the palm of your hand!'. The gentlemen at C.I used to despair of myself and Woodsroad. rotf
War Horse Bar is great! Again, I have no frame of reference as far as comparing it to Condor, but it is a nice smoke in my opinion. Has a decent amount of nicotine, too.

Irish Flake is certainly a great recommendation too. I remember some past members saying that it scratched the same itch as Condor but they certainly have their differences.

I’m one of the only ones on here that thinks the latest Polish version of Condor is still great. Maybe it’s because I know I don’t have to ever worry about stocking up on Condor again, I got my lifetime supply before the transition took place. A friend of mine sent me a Polish plug for comparisons and while I did note some differences it’s still freakin’ fabulous! I think most people agree that the Polish Condor RR tastes most like the Condor of yesteryear.

I've only been smoking my clay pipes since the move to Poland so can't compare it, but I've smoked several packets of Condor Ready Rubbed in my clays and it tastes delicious!
Good kick to it though, I once lost my footing after smoking a clay pipe of Condor and crashed into a tree!

My Irish grandpa said the same thing after he hit some sheep on his BSA Bantam. He swore it was the Condor. The Bushmills had absolutely nothing to do with it.
