Forgive me for asking this question-I mean no disrespect at all.
In my hunt for Comoy pipes, the search was aimed at pre-transition Comoy productions. Before 1980. The Blue Ribands, the straight grains, etc. I was lead to believe that past 1980, the pipe manufacture changed, and it was best to search out estates from that earlier period.
The pipes like the Quebec are my style of pipe-real bents. My favorite shape of all.
How do these current production pipes compare to the per-tranisition?
Again, no disrespect intended.

Allan,
The Quebec is not a current production Comoy. The design is based on a Comoy design from long ago (a 1911 Catalog) that has not seen production since God knows when and are being made by Vollmer and Nilsson, two well known Swedish artisans. See http://www.apassionforpipes.com/neills-blog/2013/11/22/announcing-the-2014-passion-for-pipes-poy-the-quebec.html
Also, for info about Vollmer and Nilsson, see http://www.vollmer-nilsson.com
