My family has had a challenging week dealing with the loss of our young niece. I mostly just didn't know what do do with my self, so I was glad when this Comoy's showed up in the mail. Not a challenging job, but it was good to have something else to focus on.

Full details are on the Reborn Pipes blog.

So sorry to hear of your niece’s passing, I am glad you were able to find something to take your mind to another place for a while - especially considering the beautiful work you got done. Really cool restoration, and I enjoyed reading your write-up of the process. Beautiful bird’s eye.

Sorry about your niece. That's a great pipe. I find pots like the Comoy 126 to be versatile and fine smokers. It looks a lot like the GBD 9493 that is among my favorites right now.

My condolences to you and your family. May God wrap His arms around you all and draw you close in comfort.

The pipe is beautiful! There's something about Comoy's briar that, to me, is so very distinctive that I believe I could identify it from across a room without seeing the logo or stamping.

Thanks guys. Today, they are flying her body to Philadelphia to be an organ donor. Hopefully she'll give life to other deserving individuals. She was 21 years old, a senior in college, captain of the golf team, etc. Just a very bright light. Services will be next week, that will be a tough week. I smoked the Comoys in her honor last night.
