I have used Walker for years. After he closed his business, it was difficult for me to find a quality repair business. I was lucky enough to be referred to Fletch and I’m impressed at his quality of work. @RustiePyles CPG

I have been collecting a bunch of Comoy pipes to send his way. Some are still inbound to me, and here are some before photos so far.

In the next month or so, I’ll update with the after photos. If there are any pipes you would like me to post more before photos, just let me know. Most are 20s-40s.

Since @bayareabriar started the thread I’ll go ahead and post some progress pics. I did an initial cleanup of a couple of the pipes last night, basically to do a materials assessment. Essentially to see what was gonna be needed to get these beauties back in fighting shape. I think these two extraordinaires are gonna turn out really nice. I got the rims all cleaned up of lava and gunk. And gave the pipes a very thorough inspection.

Is there a phrase for swearing and laughing out loud at the same time, in amazement? Wow!

How did you handle the stamping on the stem? Generally, due to my lack of experience and know-how, I lightly polish around any stem markings, which leaves an unsightly (to some) area.
On this pipe there wasn't really anything I could do. The picture of the stamping is before de-greening. Sanding the stem definitely lightened the stamping but it didn't erase it.
