As someone who makes pictures for a living, let me say that these photos are fantastic. As with any job, it helps to have the appropriate tools, but the artistry is always independent of the hardware. Well done, and by the way, fantastic restorations, too!

What are you using to restore shine to the bowl, as in for the briar?

All of the pipes I work with are hand-polished, lightly buffed, and waxed with carnauba.

Very very nice, sir. I have a briar wax, and whenever I use it, it does the trick but it doesn't have the same result as what you have displayed. I guess that the buffing wheel does a huge difference.

It's the hand-polishing that does the trick. These pipes spend only a minimal amount of time on a buffing wheel. The difference between the two is like the difference between a scalpel and a chainsaw.
