My one rule is... if my kids are going to smoke in my truck, they have to use their own pipes. I will gladly share my tobacco, but not my pipes.

members just ribbing you, all in good fun, the more you hang you'll see don't take anything too seriously. Sometimes this forum can be sarcastic AF and that's part of the fun...
Did you really just want a bunch of boring different experience based responses? If kept too dry, no one responds. someone adds a little sarcasm to spice it up, you get a lot more responses and... it's fun. If you get too rigid, you break, and if you break, then the sharks move in and your thread will churn with fresh blood.
I added my bit, with a picture, even. If your family doesn't like the aroma of wonderful pipesmoke, then either be respectful of them, or get a new family. It's not hard. I barely remember my old family.
That's ridiculous, was he testing you?I was once going somewhere with this guy in his car. I reached for my pipe and started to load it. At that point he told me I could not smoke it in his car. Then he flicked the ash off his cigarette and continued driving. True story.
I've smoked the bejesus out of my Jeeps during my previous one hour commute with no lasting ill effects. Next time I'll try pipe!

I've smoked in every car I've ever owned or leased. Never had a problem. Our lease we actually made money off when we returned it. I'm sitting in my car parked right now, smoking a pipe. My wife and I both smoke cigarettes in all our vehicles as well, just NEVER when the daughter or kids are in it. And it's a fact the pipe smoke residue smells better or less than cig smoke.
My favorite stories from my mom, always included her family going on long road trips somewhere. Grandma Grandpa and the 5 kids in the station wagon. Grandpa with his pipe going at all times, and grandma chain smoking cigarettes like they were going out of style. Windows were never rolled down. I wish I were around in those days!
I'll smoke in my car or my truck, although I don't do it frequently. If anyone riding in my vehicle takes issue, they are welcome to find alternative transportation.
I'm more concerned with eating in a car than smoking.
It makes it kind of hard to text with a pipe in hand too, so theres that to think about
If someone wants a ride, they'll suffer the reek. If they don't like the reek they can find another ride. Why in the world would I consider others?

If it’s going to bother you don’t smoke in the car. I smoke in all of the cars my family owns and in many places in my house. If my wife had an objection to me smoking in the cars.. well we would have a problem. But she’s a reasonable woman and as such she sees nothing wrong with it. I’m also not out here sucking down fat bowls of foul-smelling latakia blends. I smoke burley or Virginia blends. You have to figure out what works for you.
One way to think of it as a passenger;
