A friend of mine reached out and has asked me to make his son in law a pipe rack. He said the guy loved heavy metal and his only stipulation was for the wood to be ebonized. So hears what I'm working on for him. I pulled inspiration from the heavy metal guitars. It should look really ncie when it's done.

Those dimples from the forstners vex the heck out of me. Probably won't show too much when the rack's full of pipes, but if I were buying that rack first thing I'd do is grab the black Starbond and fill them.

I cover them up with leather pads. Helps the pipes to stay put plus gives them softer surface to sit on, and it hides those pesky holes
