This chap, Jethro, was a West Country comedian in the UK.....the second skit in this video shows him with a particularly large pipe....is it real or a prop do you think?

Nah, that's a group 6 or maybe a house pipe. Somewhere in the middle of my typically favored sizes.

Certainly do.....Great chap .... I doubt'd he'd have been heard of by the non-uk forum members though....I didn't remember him being a pipe man of the year though but now you mention it....
Was gonna say nothing comical just looks like one of @Chasing Embers typical daily smokers.

Do you have any pipes with really wide chambers, like approaching 2”? I’ve never seen a pipe with a diameter more than ~1” and I’m curious how large people have gone.
You know what they say. If a man smokes a big pipe, he is compensating for uh…short falls elsewhere. BTW, I smoke only small bowls. They make my hands look bigger.
