Just a little reminder: The NSA (National Security Administration) now knows all about your guns. They can link your ISP address to you and can find your home address. The U.S. government has admitted that the NSA filters ALL internet communications. All in the name of "fighting terrorism", foreign AND domestic.
Frankly, I would NEVER post pics of any firearms or admit to said ownership, on the internet, or anywhere else for that matter. Never know who's listening.
Paranoid? Perhaps. But I'd rather err on the side of caution than have the Police or the FBI kick in my front door someday. Just sayin'. Didn't mean to get political.
Food for thought.

There is cause for concern with the NSA.

The definition of terroris can change so easily and then you find yourself being defined as one simply because you belong to a church or organization.

There have been many attempt to call fundamentalist Christians terrorists.

I have been called a racist and have never participated in any racist behavior, and am indeed not racially motivated at all. To each person according to their character is my personal philosophy. How ever I am an anglophile, and very proud and interested in my heritage and the history there of.

The Patriot Act has already defined everyone on this thread as a terrorist.
'Any group, organization, individual or individuals who have ever had the intent, to cause harm to another human being, or to cause significant property damage' is legally defined as a terrorist. Note it says intent; you don't even have to do anything.
If you are a terrorist, they can revoke your citizenship. If you are not a citizen, they can kick in your door at 3am, put a bag over your head, and hold you in a secret location indefinitely without charging you with a crime. You just disappear. Legally. You don't get to defend yourself against the charges because there aren't any. This is all in the Patriot Act, and it's gotten much worse since.

Great comments and pics guys. Please don't let this Colt appreciation thread turn religious, political, paranoid, or turn into a 2nd amendment debate.
One thing about a Colt that I didn't understand before I owned one. The action is so very smooth, almost like glass. It's sorta like smoking a basket pipe forever then trying a Rad Davis for the first time. 8O

Hey nothing wrong with Ruger bro.
I actually shoot my Stainless Ruger Single six with it's .22 and .22 Mag cylinder more than I shoot my Colts. Great little revolver and very cheap to shoot. Sorry no pics. It is at home.

Seems like the only Colts that ever come up for sale around here are 6"+ bbl. I would love a 4" .45 or .357 or a snub .38. I'll probably end up settling for a Smith in .45 to go with my Marlin lever gun. I prefer my single actions to be auto loaders. :)

I always liked the idea of the Wild Bunch shoots. 1911s and 1897 Winchesters. :P

Hmmm...I guess Colt 45 went away....He's now "Anonymous" and unregistered....
@effektor, if you've not tried Wild Bunch, you should. It can be a lot of fun. Will also need a pistol caliber lever action rifle .40 cal. or bigger. If there's a SASS club near you, check with them to see if they offer Wild Bunch.

My collection of .45's. The 4 revolvers are .45 Colt and the 3 semi-autos are .45 ACP. Also have a replica 1873 Winchester in .45 Colt (not pictured). I do like .45's!

Big 1911 fan here. Never owned a revolver in long Colt but have long coveted one. Can't decide if I want a modern DA revolver chambered in LC or an old school SA. There's something appealing about the old fixed site SAs. I have a Vaquero with interchangeable .22/.22 magnum cylinders that's handy around the farm. Love that pistol.

Checotah, I do have a Marlin in .45 Colt. Might have to look into that...
I have a Norinco 97 and a Colt 1911 100th anniversary that I can't get enough of. Nice stable BTW, my .45 addiction tends more to the ACP variety.
