Yesterday I tried to wax one of my estate meerschaums like explained here. It seemed to have been smoked a lot when I got it, and was covered with leather, although the color was almost completely white, except for the stem. After I finished waxing is it turned out like this, it now have a rather uneven coloring, is this common?
