I smoke my pipes more during the winter months then I do in the summer. I grew up in Phoenix Arizona, but now live on the shores of Lake Erie just west of Cleveland, Ohio. Like someone said earlier a pipe makes a great hand warmer. During the cold months my garage becomes my man cave and my local B&M becomes my second home.
Old Man Winter... Bring it, I'm ready! :puffy:

I love the outdoors and have ran 5 miles in -10 degree weather...snow in my beard, that stated, this is my first winter smoking a pipe. When I do smoke I like to kick back and relax so I need an hour to do that, it doesn't happen often, so I don't smoke often. Maybe a bowl a week. So I don't know how this is going to work. Right now it's not a problem but when the wind is blowing and the snow is flying I'll probably wait until the family goes off to bed and sit in a comfortable chair beside an open window. Snow will not be a problem for me but the wind!
In a local park near by my place they have a gazebo I've been eying. It would be a good place to meet up with friends to have a puff. It overlooks a river and would be a good spot to (literally) chill out.

Personally, I like smoking outside in the cold. Nothing more beautiful than a snowy, moonlit night and walking the dog to have a pipe in. You are only cold if you have dressed properly for it.
