They've been through a few different companies but many rave about the ones from Vermont Freehand.would you recommend Forever stems now? Or since under “new- management” no? I was looking at them to make a stem for a cob I have.

While I'm sure the Forever Stems are a high quality product, one of the greatest attractions to Missouri Meerschaum is design of their 80 cent plastic stems which have smoother airway geometry than anything except pipes from the most legendary artisan pipemakers.would you recommend Forever stems now? RIght, it is a great school.I have two girls, so the big screen is mainly for princess movies. ? As soon as the postgame started, they were all like, “Daddy, can we watch something else now? PLEEEEEZZZUH!”
But yes. Go cats! We handled business last night.
IIRC, you said your son played baseball at UK, right?
Yes. I have about a dozen different cobs and maybe half of those required working through that initial "corny" essence; very common from my experience. Hardwood versions don't exhibit that; definitely drop and burn pipes from the get-go.I’ve posted this pic a couple times tonight. But I’ve got a question for you.
I have 3 cobs now. And each of the other two smoked/tasted great the very first time. Like how I expect a con to be.
Well, this new MM Elf Cobbit tastes like a pipe that needs breaking in.
Anyone else ever experienced this with a cob before? First time for me. Thought the cobs were supposed to be good to go from the get go.

What he saidPatience Grasshopper!............ 5-6 bowls and you will be rewarded. I've had a few that take some time, but the time is well worth it-- they turn to be excellent smokers, so you got a good one there! Enjoy!
I think the kernels would just eventually fall out, but if they could manage it so they don’t, I’d be all over thatI always thought it'd be cool if MM made a cob pipe with the kernels intact, and that plaster of Paris smeared on between the kernels, then wiped off, just enough to show the golden grain........... it would make for a heavy, chunky, pipe....... but people like custombilts..... right?
I think you'd have to smoke it cool lol, unless you wanted a nice popcorn snack midway through your smoke.Hard to vision. I would like to see just what that would look like. Might smoke cool.
In my limited experience, cobs smoke quite easily. Very little maintenance. Cool smoke. I enjoy them a great deal. And for the price, hard to beat.Hi guys, I heard the pipe shop people told me before, every pipes smoke differently. How do corn cobs smoke like? After seeing u guys posting here, made me interested to get one. It's selling pretty cheap here ?
Too bad MM Cob is selling quite expensive here, because of the shipping fee . I think i can only go for those local made one, which don't look so nice like the MM CobIn my limited experience, cobs smoke quite easily. Very little maintenance. Cool smoke. Yeah. That burnt stem flavor is a good description. The Cobbit pipes are great, to the original post, most take very little break in to me. Though I did have one that took twice the normal 5 or 6. Couldn’t get over that burnt stem taste at the bottom. But it turned into one of the best cobs I have. Now I blast a torch down a new one and burn the stem a little. That cuts it way down.
