Clip Jars vs Mason Jars for Storage?

Hello!!
I have a simple question, what is overall better for pipe tobacco storage, clip or mason jars?

note that I do not have access to the 2 pieces lid type of mason jars, just the simple piece ones. See photos.
Appreciate your answer of if you could point me to a thread that has already discussed the subject.

Clip jars for short term storage. Mason jars for long term, but you need to source the two-piece lids. Check canning section of grocery stores, hardware stores, or specialty food stores (food co-ops, health food stores, our local country Amish store is awash in them).

The one piece lids are fine for long term storage, difficult for frequent opening. And the bail top jars are great for active and short term use (ca. 2-5 weeks)

Mason jars with two piece lids. When you torque down the one piece lids over time the rubber seal peals away. With the two piece lids the rubber seal is pressed straight down and remains intact.

The one piece lids I bought have silicon seals. But even when/if the seal stays in tact, they are a pain to open and re-seal.

Mason jars are the only reliable method for long term storage.

Mason jars with two piece lids as stated above. Safest bet for long term storage. I go to goodwill and get jars for 49 cents (all sizes) and the get lids at my local grocery or order them. Cheap and proper storage.

The two piece mason jars were not available to me when I started building my stash, so it was flip top jars with rubber gaskets. 3 years down the line some of the jars i sealed and left untouched have kept the tobacco as nice and moist as the day i sealed them, so for me they are fine for medium term storage, and believe they’d be fine for the next 5 years too.
Mylar is my choice for really putting things away.
