That's a nice pipe.
I stole my wife's tube of Bert's Bees unflavored/uncolored lip balm. (beeswax)
Smear a bit on a finger and wipe a LIGHT layer around the tenon. Helps with the tightness. Some say it helps with a loose fit, also, but I've not had that problem yet, so I can't attest to it.
Easy to find, often hidden in the grocery checkout line displays.

Thanks Jay for the heads up, got a tube on my desk.

Been smoking this pipe since August and I can tell you that, more pipes need to be made to those standards. Back in the day, yes, it was cheap but overall, it is of fine quality. I hope that more companies start paying attention to the small details and not mass produce pipes. By far my favorite pipe, and I would be willing to spend double to get a good quality pipe.
Please enlighten me.

Sounds like the Grabows are working out for you. I have one, a mid century "carburetor" model, an oddity I use every so often. Nevermind. That's a Kaywoodie.
I do have an Omega but have yet to smoke it.
If you like that, you should do fine with a Stanwell or Savinelli or two (or three...) BriarWorks, Hilson, Viking are others I have and enjoy.
Hit the sponsor links on the left edge of the page and roll the dice. Lots of good smoking pipes for small investments available.

Wow, nice pipe. Looks pretty small for a 68-footer, but then again, I spent a lot of time on a 30-foot Chris-Craft that was pretty homey inside.

We can't be held responsible for hallucinations or sudden dancing naked in public
[Emphatic Nod] Too much lack of personal responsibility these days. Sooner or later y'gotta man up & take what's coming to you, pay the [ahem] piper, fish or cut bait, & suck it up & deal. No more free rides on "I didn't know!"!
