You can get creative with ghosting! Latakia crossed with a strong Cherry aro is a favorite of mine.
Unless I'm after a friendly ghost, I'll run a pipe cleaner through the stem, loopy-loop the bowl and, if it's one of my Peterson Standards, swabbing the well. A couple of times a year my Briars will get swabbed out with Brandy, Rum or Whisky, depending on what I feel like sipping at the time.
