While I'm trapped at home recovering from a broken finger, I took a bit of time and cleaned up the two dozen or so pipes that are my regular friends. These are either absolute favorites, like the Kriswill Chief 31 in the lower left corner, or reliable car pipes like the Mr. Brog Wine Barrel or Moonshine military mount.
Not shown here are the five Stanwells (63's, 64's and a 104) and six other Kriswills that I also favor.
Nice to see them all cleaned up and ready for church.

Hey! Before pictures or it didn't happen! :) Though we can make allowances for bad digits. :) Hope it heals might quick.
Nice stable there, Mr. Road! Also, funny, the second from the right, lower banque, looks exactly like a Wally Frank I got at the store in Midtown eons ago, and which I am smoking now. Yeah, the shop that's closing.

John, that's one of the French Dux Depose St. Claude pipes that SP was selling a little while ago. I wish that I had bought more of them.
Coyote, smoking them is the plan!

What is the make of the pot in the upper right corner?
I have a dux I never smoke, I can't get past the horn stem.

I'll second that sentiment on the Bruyere St. Claudes. I only scored one in a shape I like; now I wish I had been less picky on shape and gotten at least one more. Hope the finger heals quickly.

Thanks, folks.
The finger is getting there. Pins come out in another week or so.

The pot on the upper right is a GBD New Standard #789.

The pipes look a lot better than your finger. Ouch! Very nice collection.

"Next time use a tamper and not your finger. Also, don't tamp so hard! [8O]"
You're telling me!
"I recognize one of those GBD's!"
Al, you did a beautiful job on restoring that pipe. One of my better finds, right here on PM.
"What are the various makes and mods in the pic?"

l/r top:

Hilson Vintage 495 (a P&C pipe...excellent)

Moonshine The Hatfield Devil Anse (2nd) another exceptionally good smoker. Not my style, but it performs.

One of numerous tiny St. Claude pipes that I've bought from Max Capps

Mr. Brog wine barrel oak pipe. Bought this to smoke the My Own Blend aros that I love, like Den Kongelige Livgarde

" Are we going to hear how this happened?? "

That's between me and my insurance company!

Here's the next set of my regular use pipes. Les and the other folks from the Lehigh Valley Pipe Club and Morley's Pipe Club will recognize some of these:

You'll notice that there's another Kriswill Chief 31 in there! It's a slowly evolving rotation. I still have a lot of estates that need restoration, including a lot of Stanwells and Kriswills, and some of those will find their way in here, nudging out others that aren't seeing as much use. I also have a lot of other "nice" pipes that just haven't found their way here as of yet.
Most of these pipes rise to the level of aesthetically pleasing and well engineered, great smoking pipes. Some are just great smokers, like the two Savinelli 611's.
I'll caption these for you tonight when I get back from an assignment....

Very impressive. It's going to take me a while to reach that level lol. Which pipe is your absolute favorite, woodsroad?
