Bought a few cheap clay pipes on ebay (4 for $12) as "taster pipes," and I'm starting to fall in love with them. The flavor comes through super clean (maybe I need to clean my other pipes better) no matter how I pack them. And the best part is that I can just throw them in the fire I was smoking next to and they'll be clean in the morning! Anybody else a fan?

I just picked up two of these specifically for tasting Ropes, Twists and Plugs
I’ve heard a lot about them but have yet to try one. The pipe I own that smokes with the most clarity is made of Morta, but the bowl is way too large for smoking rope or plug. Now I’m intrigued.
I just smoked my clay pipe before bed last night. Love them because they give a traditional feel to the experience somehow.

Last week or so, I had a wonderful smoke with a small clay pipe. As I was walking across the kitchen, the pipe got loose and hit the tile floor.
Given the choice between a $1 pipe and replacing a ceramic tile, always choose destroying the pipe. Glad this wasn't the only clay pipe I own.

I have 5 clays and love the way they smoke. If you are a "wet" smoker, there is no gurgling going on with a clay!
