Clay Pipes

I recently started smoking a clay gouda pipe I purchased a number of years ago. Can anyone recommend where I can purchase clay pipes at a reasonable price?

I really like the look and history of clay pipes. I just CANNOT put one in my mouth. The feel of the course dried clay on my teeth is like finger nails on a blackboard, (which I can tolerate.) If I could get one with a plastic or ebonite tip I would be all over a really long one. Churchwardener's unite!

Elsewhere on the forum someone recommended a shrink wrap solution for the dry clay tips. I dip mine in a little beer in between puffs, this was supposedly how it was done in the pubs in the past.

i HAVE SEVERAL CLAYS THAT HAVE CHERRYWOOD STEMS WITH HORN BITS. THEY SMOKE VERY WELL INDEED. MOST OF THIS TYPE ARE QUITE OLD NOTE PHOTO. YOU CAN SOMETIMES FIND

THEM ON EBAY USUALLY RUN FROM 40 TO 80.00.
