After the mention of the high grade of workmanship of Clark Layton experienced by several members of the forum, and then viewing his work on line, I just had to commission one from him. I am a bent fan, as you can see.
Here are the pictures he has sent me so far: This is the first drawing, but I felt the pipe stem was too thick for me.

Clark just informed me that the pipe can be done with a light stain, which is not always the case.
Clark is very easy to work with and seems like one hell of a guy.
Very excited to see the final item.

Nice. You should like it. I have a couple and they're just good, honest smokers. Clark likes honest feedback, as well, and I'd say that is one of the major reasons I like him and support the guy.

Thanks, Crimson
Clark does seem to be a straight out guy and I'm looking forward to meeting him in Chicago at the show

I DO own one. I was very blessed to get one at the Seattle Pipe Club annual dinner. Exquisite design and the thing puffs like a dream.

My Clark Layton pipe is finished and delivered and what can I say? The pipe is nothing short of magnificent! The finish, the fit, I almost didn't want to smoke it. It was so beautiful that I even showed it to my wife. She loved it too, even though she is not happy that I smoke at all.
His packaging is totally professional with a certificate and pipe cleaners, matches etc.
Gentlemen, my feeling is we have found a new Rad Davis.

Thank you gents.
Brad, the feel of the bowl is quite different than my other pipes. It's just, well, right.
Just so comfortable.
