Any Cincinnati pipe smokers out here?
I went down to the local B&M downtown today (Straus Tobacconist, est. 1880) to pick up a new lighter and some PS Luxury Navy Flake. Most of bulks they sell there are their own aromatics. When your in the shop, they will let try a bowl of any of these for free. In the past, I tried their Losantaville which I did not much care for. I don't smoke aros that often and this one had almost no flavor, but a great aroma.
Based upon a tobacco review I read I thought I would try their their "Mercantile" blend. It is described as "Burley is blended with toasted Cavendish for a mellow flavor, with a touch of black cherry for the right sweetness". Apparently, it is an attempt to mimic discontinued Lane's TK 6, which I have never tried. It almost made me want to convert to aromatics. It had a nice flavor, decent kick and smelled heavenly.
They have so many blends to try I was wondering if anyone else out there was a fan of theirs and what blends they like.
