Churchwarden are made for new pipe smoker who wanna be Gandalf and smoke cherry tobacco ??‍♂️
I'd have to respectfully disagree. I've been smoking a pipe for 55 yrs and have 9 churchwardens. There are times that I feel as old as Gandalf, but I certainly wouldn't want to emulate him. I gave up on cherry tobacco back in 1967 after my first bowl of Middleton's Cherry Blend.

I personally dislike the aesthetic of them. For me. I’ve seen profile pics of other members smoking a warden and the pipe looks quite at home on that smoker. I had one where the engineering did not deliver a good hit so that also put me off. I think what was happening was the bowl was small and the bore on that long stem was too wide, so between those 2 conditions it was delivering thin, wimpy puffs with muted flavor. I gave that pipe away.

I have recently commissioned a Scottie Piersel Pencil Shank Footlong- It is one foot (12 inches long)

I love smoking it. Beautiful smoker.
Don’t know if it could be called a churchwarden

I've just never been into fantasy stories, more horror and science fiction.

Alighieri
Milton
Wells
Verne
Poe
Lovecraft
Kafka
Herbert
Clarke
Asimov
Bradbury
King
Crichton
Gonna note some author from that list , im a devoted Poe fan .
i started to read lovecraft and kafka lately , i don’t know if the translation gonna be good in english but i suggest Maupassant , he wrote several short stories that are my favorite like Le Horla .

I picked up a Capri Warlock over the holidays and love the damn thing, wish I'd bought more of them years ago. Kinda wanna fire it up now, but I'm currently with Covid so not really messing with pipes as I don't want to have to fool with them to get them disinfected. Fun
