Still looks smokeable to me. Smooth down the break on the stem, heat & reshape. File down near the end to create a button (or cover with a Softy bot) & Wallah!

But, I’d say there are a few of us that pipe while on a riding mower.

Given the swirling blades no wooden pipe would withstand a good haircut. Or, could the Ali survive?
This needs to be the next test, Mike! And spring is right around the corner (but maybe not in Ontario).

I'm starting to fell sorry for the little guy. He came out of the Chinese factory with high hopes that some day he'd be a real pipe, cherished and smoked by a loving owner. And look what you've done to the poor bastard.

The next test: How will the pipe fare after 3+ hours in a dishwasher?

I decided to run the pipe through a complete cycle: rinse, wash, rinse, heated dry. How will the most resilient pipe in the world do? I am beyond the stage now where I am expecting the pipe to shatter/ break / dissolve. I'm now actively rooting for the little guy. My guess? It will come out unscathed as always.

No before pics this time, but unchanged since the last test.

That's going to require some fills.

Looks like all that suffered was a little filling as noted by Furcoat. The Rugged Woodpecker seems a fitting name. You may have stumbled across a new method of pipe refreshening. Was there any citrus in the dishwashing soap pray tell?
