My wife and I baked cookies today.I think it's been established that most of us here like cookies. This is about more than that though. We've baked cookies every year for many years.Last year her father died before Christmas. She wasn't in a holiday mood so no cookies.Today when she said it was time to bake I can't tell you how happy I was.Money is tight this year so there won't be a lot of gifts.I got the best one I could get today though.

Happy for you too. Baking cookies with the wifey is one of the holiday traditions I look forward to every year.

Always good to do the things you love, with love. Even better if it's a team effort. She loves baking cookies, you love eating cookies, that's teamwork right there. Glad to hear she isn't having a "Holiday funk" though. Losing a loved one during the holidays is tough. give her lots of love, and enjoy your cookies.

Making cookies especially at holiday time is special.
Boswell's has a tobacco called Christmas Cookie. Perhaps you could try it if you have not already that way you can be reminded of the holiday season often.

When the the fiance and I first moved in together we had weeks where literally all we could afford to eat were beans and ramen noodles. Times are certainly better now, but we also remember these times fondly as a reminder to live below our means and be thankful each other, rather than things.
Merry Christmas to you and enjoy the time with your wife!

Making cookies on Christmas eve is a tradition in our household.
Even though the kids are now 13 & 15 we still color eggs on Easter, carve pumpkins on Halloween and make cookies on Christmas Eve.... and although im 43 I still get excited :D
