Just saw the new Xmas Peterson's for this year. Not as striking as last year's, but still nice: Red ruby stain on sandblasted Briar, a copper mount (unusual) and a black stem. Check 'em out.

Already have, and if I hadn't already dropped a wad of dough on my meerschaum, I do believe a Peterson 2018 Christmas 999 would already be at home nestled comfortably in my pipe rack. I actually like this years better than last years. I do really love the copper mount. Still hoping to land one at some point soon.

SPC got them in a few months back. Definitely better looking than past iterations, but none in a shape that would make me pull the trigger.
I'm contemplating grabbing one since I skipped my annual St. Patrick's Day pipe.... they were just ugly this year, in my opinion.

That web page is worth checking out peterson pipe notes Christmas 2018 I'll not be buying one, I've presents to buy for my wife and sons, but think these are nice looking pipes. The copper is apparently copper coated nickel. The "P" on the stem is also copper coloured. They have brought back the old stamping on the mount for this. If anyone buys one on the forum I'd be interested to see photos over time. Particularly if the copper coat develops a patina.
I like the look of this year's Christmas pipe. It doesn't look like a clown pipe, like years prior. They have had some real ugos in recent times, IMO.
I couldn'd resist--put a 106 on reserve at SP for purchase Oct 3. I like spigot and the copper mount with the black stem and a nice blast. Should be a nice companion to last year's 106. Will post photos when it arrives.
I think they are great looking pipes! The savinellis are rather childish looking. I may say the Comoys Christmas pipes are also good lookers this year. I usually get a Pete in the 03 shape and a Sav in 320. I may substitute sav for Comoy this year.
I keep going and staring at the 999. I still don't have a Peterson yet, and I'm trying hard to spread the shapes I want around to different brands, so I want the 03/XL02, but I already have a couple pipes in that shape, so I've been really leaning toward the 999. I just really like the look of that one.

CarolinaChuchwarden, Peterson 999 is real dependable shape,In the past, I have had them several along with 80S Bent bulldog,all them smoked cool and no draw issues whereas there was always one annoying issue present,all these did have a tendency to gurgle way more than similarly shaped Savinellis for instance,yet today I have one Peterson 999 and Savinelli 673 in my rotation. Nothing has changed.
