Dude,

eventually I'm gonna get one with his stripey stem, the orange and blue looks really good to my eye..

Again, love the new Askwith, especially that particular shape. I'm thinking of asking for one like that, but with an acrylic stem.
You won't regret it,

it's a great shape!

Wow, I really like your new Askwith. He does an amazing job. He has a couple on his website I am very tempted by. I think I may try one of his new pipes he has listed that are not his handmade pipes. We shall see. I had to show you my briar stem morta from Chris. It is a nice little pipe too. The briar stem is very comfortable and seems to be pretty durable. Again, congratulations on your new one.

Fantastic pipe MLC...and the butterfly occurrence is just too cool. He seems to be quite enamored with the pipe, surveying it from end to end.

dcrguns - good golly miss molly! The morta is absolutely beautiful and it looks so nice with the briar stem! I like also how the stem is stamped, and the unusual logo placement, it's a perfect chubby billiard!
Thanks for sharing the pix.
Chris nails it with his shaping.
How long have you had it?

These briar-stemmed pipes are really yanking my chain! I'm testing the waters with a "Hand Finished" series pipe that is due to arrive any day now, I hope. I'll do a post when it arrives.

I have had mine for six months or so. He really does a nice job with Morta. One of the few who does. I have a Tinsky morta and it is not near the pipe this Askwith is. Not much difference in price either.
I really like the blast and the match in color on yours. He really nailed it. The pictures with the butterfly are priceless. Very nice job.
This will not be my only briar stem pipe from Chris.
And, I really like reading your posts and all of the info you have given in the past. Please don't stop rambling. Your insights are interesting and we are all not natural writers in this type of venue. I don't necessarily post a lot, but I read almost every post and yours are some of the best.
