Funny as I happened to have 50% Plum pudding and 50% C&D Billy Budd

on my bacci plate, not enough for a bowl of each but together...
I must say, I'm really enjoying this 50/50 mix alot! I'm no blender

thank goodness but I might do more experiments now that this seems

to work and be very-vey enjoyable ;-)
Do you ever do this and go hmm, that was really good!

Interesting thought. I'm embarrassed to say that it never occured to me to save remnants for blend experimentation. I have some tins with less than a bowl in them. I think I'll get busy and see what kind on Frankenblend I can conjour up.

I actually have a very large mason jar that I use just for this purpose. Anytime I get a blend that I don't like or have just a little bit left I throw it into the jar. There is a little room left in it and every so often I toss it around getting everything good and mixed up. I haven't decided when I will try it. I think I may let it age for a good while and give it a go. The last time I opened it to add some baccy it actually smelled really good.

Something I've been wanting to try is a "parfait" of tobaccos. It's just like it sounds: pack the pipe normally with whatever you want in layers. As you smoke down, you get the different flavors coming through and the top tobaccos lending their flavors to the ones below.

I once mixed some Boswells Northwoods with some Boswells Christmas Cookie. The room note? Smelled exactly like s'mores. It was truly amazing.

I've got an old Rattray's tin I use for leftovers. I dip into it now and then and I like it!

You want some whipped cream with that bigfoot?
Lol I can't claim credit for the idea or the name, but if you think about it, it's a perfect way to describe it to someone in a single word.

Besides the traditional Miscellaneous Leftovers (or floor mix, if you will) blend, I like adding aromatics to my VaPers--favorites include Sterling's Sweet Briar, MacB Honey & Chocolate (really amplifies the Perique flavors), and, all day today, 1Q. McClelland 2015 and 1Q (layered rather than mixed fully) is to me the root beer float of tobacco.

:puffy:I have tried the "parfait" method before. CBB,1Q,Squadron Leader, and Local B&M's "My Blend"

Very Unique. Definitely something I will try again.

I've used the parfait mic once or twice. Filled bottom 1/3 of bowl nightcap and the rest with mac baren vanilla cream. Was a pretty good mix. Like the idea of the mix jar, gonna have to get a mason jar for when my tins start getting low.

The venerable scraps jar.

Mine never gets too full. Drop in whatever is left from loading a bowl and once there's a couple of bowls worth accumulated I smoke it up.
Parfaits generally meld the flavors when I do those. A noticeable shift in flavors from one layer to the next but rarely a distinct shift.
Brown Bogie is my favorite "spice" tobacco. 1/4 to 1/3 of the BB with the remainder a Va or VaPer, tasty.
