I purchased a Chinese corncob off ebay for $1 shipped. I wanted to give it a try but I am wondering if it is safe to smoke? The bottom seems to be filled out with some type of light wood or something. Do you guys know if it is safe to smoke? Or should I not run the risk? I can post pictures in an hour or so as I am in class.

I know exactly what you are talking about....

These "made in china" baby pipes are for fun and decorations !!

I really do think that it's not safe to smoke from these ones at all...

I wouldn't use them for smoking....only use the trusted and truly tested USA Corn Cob !!

....and NOT these types....(it's not worth it...remember "you get what you pay for")...0.99 cents/each

Get a new one.
LMAO! Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I don't think there really IS a way to"clean" a MM cob. If there is, color me interested.

You clean an estate corn cob by placing an M-80 in the bowl; lighting the fuse; and tossing it in a safe direction.
Now that I think about it, that's a pretty good thing to do with a new corn cob pipe.
