Had a cold front blow in yesterday... time for CHILI! This is a third generation Texas Chili recipe from my family. With each generation tweaking it a bit. Enjoy
Let's fire up the Cookin Kettle!
Nothin but red oak will do for this chili!
Chuck Roast!
Everything needed for this chili
Let's put some fire on that meat!
Gotta char the edges!
Let her rest!
Slice it, then cube it
Meanwhile, lets roast some peppers!
Assemble the makin's!
Put the second ring on so we can smoke this chili low and slow... without the lid
Put some ceramic plates underneath... we want indirect heat!
Let's make some Jalapeno corn bread in a cast iron skillet!
Let's check on the chili...
