On Saturday, May 2nd, there will be a meet up for members of PipesMagazine.com. It will be held in the smoking tent at 2 PM. Look for the table in the tent with a “Reserved” sign for PipesMagazine. This will be an opportunity for all of us to get together, meet in person, and enjoy a bowl.

The 2015 Chicago Pipe Show is the 20th annual Show, and we are celebrating this with some special things.
As mentioned above, The Chicagoland Pipe Collectors Club will display posters from the last 19 years of the Chicagoland International Pipe & Tobacciana Show, and Chicago area shows that preceded the first CPCC show in 1996. These posters will be displayed in one of our glass cases in the Show.
Also to commemorate the 20th annual Chicago Pipe Show, we have prepared several posters with pictures from the 19 prior CPCC shows and the Chicago area shows that were our foundation. These picture posters will be displayed in the Pheasant Run hotel and in the Mega Center. We hope these pictures will bring back to you many fond memories of all of our prior shows and the many pipe smokers who attended these shows, some of whom are no longer with us.
And, our founder and Show Director Emeritus, Frank Burla, has prepared a history of the Chicagoland Pipe Collectors Club, the Chicago Pipe Show, and its predecessor shows in the Chicago area, so that we can all be aware of the long history of pipe shows in Chicago. Also, we thank Frank Burla for providing our historic posters and the pictures of pipe smokers at prior shows. Here is a link to Frank’s history on our new web site:

Monday, May 4th, provides the last opportunity to buy, sell or trade a pipe at the 2015 Show. From 8AM to 12PM we hold our Post Show in the Terrace Café Area of Pheasant Run Resort. ½ tables are available FREE on a first come, first served basis. Many who attend the Show take this last opportunity to offer pipes for sale or trade while they await transportation to the airport. The area of the Post Show is a high traffic area where many people pass by as they leave the 2015 Show. If you have a few pipes left to sell or trade, or you have not yet spent your last dollar on pipes, visit the Post Show for your last chance to have fun at the 2015 Chicago Pipe Show.

Thanks for all of the info, Craig! We are excited to be an exhibitor at the Show, but even more excited to mingle with all the members of the pipe smoking community on the show floor and in the smoking tent. Wish we were there already!

Some of my co-workers from more northern suburbs of Chicago saw snow this morning. Perhaps y'all should bring several layers to wear. Yes, the weather changes a lot.

The pre-show starts at 9:00. There are lots of estate pipes and possibly new pipes in that range.

The tent is heated; we'll be ok
Fair warning, if you're from more northern climes or are comfortable when the temperature is in the 60s or 70s you might want to layer for the smoking tent... It was practically a sauna on Saturday night last year as folks had the heaters going because the outside temps had dropped below 65. Also, if the heaters are on, the sides are down, if the sides are down the ventilation is... Limited. Bring visene.
I kid, while all of the above is true, the laughs and stories and camaraderie are all worth it.
