chewing tobacco

I chewed tobacco for years quite a few years back (40+). Ropes and smoking plug can be chewed. However, most plug chewing tobacco is to heavily cased.

Yeah plug chewing tobacco and plug pipe tobacco are different things

Levi Garret, Cannon Ball and Bear of the Woods just will not work in a pipe due to the high sugar content which would result in a burnt Carmel flavored smoke! You can chew Warrior Plug and most of the twists like Irish XXX. In fact I was informed that in days gone by people would chew plug and then put the stuff in their hat to dry out so it could be smoked later. I just can't imagine what that did to your hair!

I wouldn't encourage anyone to chew pipe tobacco plug or to smoke chewing tobacco, but I'm interested to hear from people who've done it for their own reasons. Ug.
