Chesterfield CPF

This came in a small lot I bought. Haven’t done much with it. I did a little research and figured it’s old-from the KB&B and the CPF … not to mention the odd stem.
Just cleaned it up and applied a mixture of beeswax and carnauba.
I’m such a newbie, I’m afraid to try anything with this one….

I suggest a straight Virginia with no topping. That way you'll get the full benefit of what old wood can bring to your experience.

I have two of these pipes and they are good smokers.

The vulcanite/ebonite stem has straightened out over time
Look up the many threads on how to (re)bend stems

Thanks for the input. I’ll research on re-bending that stem. (And maybe taking some of those tooth marks out!)
