Thank you everybody! @AreBee Sisimbro is a great place! @AirOne I agree with you, although one of my favorite pipes is a Chacom! Great pipemakers in France too! @Doctor Chopper wow, gorgeous beard and great pipe! I love briar works shapes, I am looking for a moonshine cannonball but they are very uncommon to find here in Italy. @OzPiper I am from Parma, homeland of parmigiano reggiano cheese, a couple hours driving from Barolo and Barbaresco :)

Benvenuti da Canada!
My heritage is Italian and I visit at least once a year, sometimes twice.
I'm often in the north either around Torino or Lago di Garda.
Where are you from?
Happy and healthy puffing!

Welcome from Western Tennessee, USA!

I was fortunate enough to spend some time in Vicenza in several visits in late 2001/early 2002. That area of Northern Italy is my favorite place on earth. It is so beautiful there and the wine is fantastic. There was a winery I rode my bike to and got 2 1.5L bottles of wine every night. There exists a wine there I had never heard of and cannot find here in the US. It is Marzemino. When I drank it, the farmer pulled it right off the vat, so I didn't know it was sparkling until I got some bottles home. In my 3 visits there, I was able to get 82 bottles back in my luggage. I was in the Army and no one checked anything for us right after 9/11.

You may be jealous of us here, but we are jealous of you, too! Your wine, cheeses, real pizza, and your Pipe Carvers!

I hope you stick around!
