I suppose it's possible. Does it have any markings that would indicate it's a Charatan?

My initial thought is that it was made by someone else.

It's not a classic cup and saucer shape. Charatan made a number of freehands, starting in 1959.

I find it interesting that it doesn't have the "comfort stem".

I will take it to the Chicago Pipe Show. The Charatan Club requires 5 pipes for admission. No problem.
