Hi all,

I am a new pipe smoker and picked up an estate pipe to clean up and use. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this pipe as I can not find anything on it online. Only bits about the company and their other pipes.

It’s a saddle-stemmed, square shanked, billiard sitter.

Good luck finding out when it was made.
Even if it had silverware, the French don’t use date marks

It's a Chacom Prestige that you own.

That will be a nice pipe once cleaned up. I have a lot of Chacoms and a few from the prestige line. I have yet to come across a bad one.

As stated, you you will likely never never be able able to pin down a date or even a date range but it may be fun to try. If you find something, let us know

No, it's a genuine Chacom. The Prestige marking for imports is a dead giveaway, but imagine the number of models and series that Chacom has manufactured over the decades. If you're really looking for information, why not contact Chacom in France? They would certainly be better able to tell you what you're looking for.

I have messaged Chacom via their Facebook page and they have responded with information on my older Chacom pipes.
