I just took a trip to Argentina and bought a can of Chacom No4 and another of Chacom No5.
The No4 is a nice VaPer. As good as any the few others I’ve had but not life changing. The No5 however is an extraordinary English, at least for me with my relative inexperience. I’ve tried 965 and GL Pease Westminster, both of which I like a lot. But the No5 is a whole new experience. An analogy from the whiskey world would be that 965 and Westminster are like fine bourbon and the No5 is like Islay Scotch, with a deep earth, smoke, peat flavour - Ardbeg single malt for anyone who has had the good fortune to have tried it. Maybe I like heavier Latakia blends.
I live in Toronto where I haven’t found Chacom tobaccos. Can anyone recommend something that might be similar to this heavenly No5? Smooth, rich, dark taste (is that possible?)?
