Beyond impressive. I agree with the investment comments. Pipe tobacco in tins is an investment and will gain value consistently over time. What a magnificent sight to behold. Yes, you definitely have more than most pipe tobacco stores. By a longshot

I don't think I could track the inventory, but it's fun to visit the barn again. My little trove wouldn't fill one shelf, but it seems vast to me. peck's is a vision of Valhalla. Just got a baggie of the Sutliff Virginia Red at my local indi B&M, to supplement the two tins of two other blends I bought on sale last week. It can take me years to open a particular tin. N8 sent me a square tin of Brown Sugar Flake, and it took me so long to open it (drooling all the while) that he'd left Forums before I got to report back and thank him again. Smoked that tin up in weeks. Now I want to slice up the rest of the sample of Peterson 3-P a member sent me from the Chicago pipe show. It ain't peck's barn, but it's my own little Disneyland.

I have been to the barn. After meeting Peck at a generic strip mall near Niagara Falls and being blindfolded by a mute Old Order Mennonite chap, the trip took 45 minutes by non-descript white van. While the AHD (anti Harris devices) are menacing on first look, upon entering the barn the utterly humane touches are striking. I’m a sucker for wood pegs, post and beam, and good dovetails. The barn construction is nice too.
PS - Peck isn’t really Robert Downey Jr. which is a bummer.

You won't believe it unless you've seen his collection up close. It's a thing of beauty.

I've been lucky to be there a few times.

I always suspected that Pat and Dean were the same person.

Now it turns out there's three of them.
Shit. Where does this leave brdavidson amongst all this dissociative identity disorder?

I too have seen the glorious cellar, I broke through the missle defence system and got so close before the attack dogs pulled me away.

Hey canadian piper. I remember that herf and you hugging the cellar (pic below). Pretty funny. That same evening a security camera also picked up a sinister red-socked vagrant trying to break the cellar security system.

And I would add that that particular herf cost me a fair chunk of change. My two air purifiers couldn't keep up that day. I recently had a contractor install a powerful fan in the barn to extract smoke very quickly. Unfortunately they also had to install an air intake system at another location upstairs, so the whole barn wouldn't implode when I ran the fan, lol! When I turn on the exhaist fan, the air intake system also turns on to replace the air being removed from the building. And it gets even more complicated and expensive, because the air being replaced is of course cold air (in winter), so they also installed a treatment system to heat that replaced air a bit as it comes into the building if it needs it. It might be an interesting thread to discuss smoking indoors and ventilation/purifiers. In any event, there won't be a smoke issue at the 2018 herf.

I tecently bought a big precipitator for my office on eBay. Still mulling over the best way to install it, since we don’t have any air ducts in the house.
