I love Sixpence but to my palate it is not quite the same as Silver Flake. The spicy factor in Sixpence is more perique based, whereas the spicy in SF is from the rich dark-fried Kentucky. SF is a fantastic blend with a lame packaging design. That acknowledged, it is still very much worth the effort to jar it for the long term. YMMV...

I'm shocked the manufacturer didn't seal the bags better than they do with these.... It's just folded over, and anything but secure for anything but short term storage. Crazy. At the very least they could have used a ziplock bag..

I jar mine right away.

With anything from Solani, I buy the 50g tins where the option exists; which goes against my buying preferences where I always buy 100g tins
