Just curious as to what some thoughts are here on the subject... I googled and couldn’t find anything.

I‘ve been increasing my cellar, like many in these uncertain times, and I understand storing tobacco changes the leaf, mostly for the better, but not always. Example, Latakia can lose its smokiness, and if you like that taste/smell, that’s a negative...

But what happens to the nicotine level, if anything? I enjoy the nic kick...

Nicotine forms more complex molecules as it ages, just as perique does when it ferments. However, whether these new molecules allows more absorption of free nicotine like perique does, or just affects flavor is hit or miss.
