I just finished reorganizing my cellar and it got me wondering how others keep track of thier horde. I used Tobaccocellar.com for years but recently transferred everything to Thepipetool.com due to Tobaccocellar.com no longer being monitored by its creator. I know others often use Excel but I'm sure some are using even more creative tools. What are you using?

Just excel for me. Creating the spreadsheet was a serious eye opener. What I thought was passionate collecting may well be a mental health disorder 
I went through a couple of big totes of tins recently and made notes of what I had, years acquired and such. Ended up with 5 or so pages. In theory, these have been entered into Excel in an orderly and searchable fashion. In practice, I have 5 or so pages of notes in a notepad.
I'm a programmer. I enrolled in an online course to learn a new technology (from Microsoft) called Blazor, which uses the same languages I already know. I chose a cellaring app as my course project.
I add to it from time-to-time as I think of additional features. I wanted something that could run in a browser for when I'm on the laptop, and also on the phone. Both of which share a common database. So far it's been working well. Although a case can be made that a spreadsheet with a few tweaks could get close to the same functionality.

Seriously guys? Spreadsheets for your tobaccos? I'm disappointed.
I went that way for a long time. Until I started finding shit I forgot I had. Then I knew it was time….
All of mine is in an easy access closet. My trays of jars aren't mixed and the trays are labeled. Pipes and tobacco just aren't significant enough for me to buy a computer.
excel spreadsheet, my go to tool: filters, sort, pivot tables. got all i need with it.
tins and jars that aren't "open" go into numbered boxes kept in the dry and temperature-stable basement cellar. boxes have a sheet inside and taped on outside with the contents. not much upfront work when new deliveries come in, and then set for life with contents listed in the boxes, even if computer/spreadsheet goes away when the big coronal ejection/EMP comes. Boxes are medium US postal shipping boxes.. not too big to ever get too heavy. Are sturdy and easily movable/stackable.

I don't use anything but my memory, but I have a very limited cellar with the three main tobacco plus another three to add some variety. I am also in the smoking phase of cellaring.
I did a spreadsheet at one time, found it to be rather alarming, and decided that I collect pipe tobacco for the fun of it, not to obsess over.
I use the notes app on my iphone. I have it organized by the several locations of my cellar in my house with the blends listed in alpha order. Hasn’t failed me yet.
